"On September 10, 2025, Environment and Climate Change Canada and Health Canada published amendments to the Domestic Substances List (DSL) in the Canada Gazette, Part II, Vol. 159, No. 19 (SOR/2025-170 to SOR/2025-178). The updates were made under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) and include the addition of several chemicals and polymers that have been assessed and deemed compliant for manufacture or import in Canada. These listings remove the substances from the new substance notification requirements under CEPA, ensuring regulatory clarity for industry.

Key additions include:
- 1,2-Oxathiolane, 2,2-dioxide
- 1,3-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, polymer with 1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-5-isobenzofurancarboxylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol and alkanediol
- 1,3-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, polymer with 2,5-furandione, hexanedioic acid, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,2'-oxybis[ethanol] and 1,2-propanediol
- 1,3-Benzenedimethanamine, N1,N1,N3,N3-tetrakis(2-oxiranylmethyl)-, polymer with carbomonocycledimethanamine
- 1,3-Isobenzofurandione, polymer with 1,2-ethanediol, 2,5-furandione, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol and 1,2-propanediol, 2-ethylhexyl ester
- 1,3-Isobenzofurandione, polymer with 2,2'-oxybis[ethanol] and 1,2,3-propanetrioland so on."
