The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has released the final report from the PFAS Knowledge Task Force, outlining key proposals for authorities' future efforts to combat PFAS pollution. The report builds on previous findings and presents a comprehensive catalogue of 18 action areas, focusing on reducing human and environmental exposure, improving knowledge sharing, and enhancing risk communication. The Task Force, comprising nine experts in environment, food, and health, highlights the need for coordinated risk communication to ensure public understanding and effective policy actions. The recommendations align with Denmark’s national PFAS action plan and ongoing research initiatives, including efforts from the newly established PFAS Research and Delivery Center. While not a prescriptive list, the proposals provide a foundation for future regulatory and mitigation strategies.
