The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) will hold a meeting of the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee (DARTIC) on October 9, 2025, to consider the possible listing of Bisphenol S (BPS) for developmental toxicity under Proposition 65. BPS is already listed for reproductive toxicity based on both male and female reproductive endpoints. OEHHA previously released the “Evidence on the Developmental Toxicity of Bisphenol S” hazard identification document for public comment from July 25 to September 8, 2025, with no comments received. The meeting will include staff presentations, committee discussions, and opportunities for public oral comments both in-person and via Zoom. The DARTIC will also discuss the development of hazard identification materials for p,pʹ-bisphenol chemicals to support potential future listings in 2026.
