"On June 24, 2025, the Central Institute for Inspection and Testing released nine draft standards related to cosmetic raw materials and testing methods. These drafts are now open for public comment to improve the technical framework governing cosmetic safety and quality. Draft Standards Open for Comment: 1. General Principles of Physical and Chemical Testing Methods 2. Test Methods for Six Raw Materials Including Cannabidiol (CBD) in Cosmetics 3. Skin Allergies: Regional Lymph Node Test – BrdU-FCM Method 4. Toxicant Metabolic Kinetic Test Methods 5. General Principles of Technical Requirements for Raw Materials Sourced from Biotechnology 6. General Principles of Technical Requirements for Plant-Derived Raw Materials 7. Specification for Centella Asiatica Extract as a Cosmetic Raw Material 8. Specification for Tripeptide-1 Copper as a Cosmetic Raw Material 9. Specification for Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 as a Cosmetic Raw Material The comments are due by July 15, 2025. This consultation aims to ensure transparency and industry participation in the continuous development of cosmetic safety standards in China."
