"On 17 September 2025, the European Commission unveiled a revamped EU Ecolabel Product Catalogue (ECAT)—a centralized online platform that provides reliable access to over 100,000 goods and services officially certified as environmentally friendly under strict EU Ecolabel criteria.

The catalogue, drawing products from more than 3,000 companies across Europe, covers a wide array of categories including detergents, textiles, paints, and tourist accommodations.

Users can filter listings by product group or country, or search directly by licence number, company name, or product name.

The redesign emphasizes transparency and usability: consumers gain a trustworthy tool for verifying genuinely certified green products; public procurers and retailers benefit from easy access to independently assessed products that meet EU environmental requirements; and businesses receive improved visibility through integrated Open Data feeds and APIs, enabling retailers and platforms to sync with up-to-date, official information.

This modernised catalogue aids decision-making for sustainable consumption, procurement, and offers a credible benchmark in a marketplace increasingly crowded with environmental claims."
