,"On September 16, 2025, India’s Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) announced another delay in the enforcement of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for Vinyl Chloride Monomer, Ethylene Dichloride, and Polycarbonate.
The new compliance deadline for all three products is September 12, 2026:
Ethylene Dichloride – IS 869:2020
Vinyl Chloride Monomer – IS 17442:2020
Polycarbonate – IS 14434:2023
These QCOs will not apply to export-only products. For domestic use, products must carry the BIS Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Violations will be subject to penalties under the BIS Act, 2016."
