On September 29, 2025, the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) announced that two industrial chemicals have been added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory), in accordance with section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, as five years have passed since their respective assessment certificates were issued. The chemicals include: - Ethanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-2-[(2-methyl-1-oxo-2-propen-1-yl)oxy]-, chloride (1:1), polymer with α-(2-methyl-1-oxo-2-propen-1-yl)-ω-methoxypoly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl) (CAS 109180-56-5), listed on 12 September 2025, with ongoing obligations to report changes in importation or manufacture within 28 days. - Acetamide, N-ethyl- (CAS 625-50-3), listed on 26 September 2025, also requiring notification if introduction circumstances differ from the original assessment.
