The EU and Member States launch the Team Europe Initiative under Global Gateway to support deforestation-free value chains globally

The EU and its Member States launched a Global Team Europe Initiative to promote deforestation-free value chains worldwide. The initiative supports producer countries in transitioning to sustainable, deforestation-free agricultural and commodity production, particularly for products like palm oil, cocoa, coffee, and rubber. It focuses on partnerships with producer countries, combining EU and Member State funding, technical assistance, and policy dialogue.
