,"On September 15, 2025, the WTO circulated a notification from Egypt regarding Ministerial Decree No. 245/2025, which mandates compliance with the Egyptian Standard ES 9108 for ladies napkins for incontinence. The products covered fall under the textile industry (ICS 59.080) and tissue paper (ICS 85.080.20) sectors. The decree grants a six-month transitional period for producers and importers to comply with the new standard. The draft of this standard was previously notified under G/TBT/N/EGY/494 on 4 December 2024. Egyptian Standard ES 9108 aligns with the following international and regional standards and regulations: -Commission Decision EU 2014/763 -Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) -Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 -IS 17508/2020 Producers and importers are informed of any amendments through administrative orders published in the official gazette.
