On September 15, 2025, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated a notification from Spain regarding a Draft Royal Decree aimed at regulating the accessible labeling of consumer products. The regulation applies to goods marketed in Spain that are important for the safety, integrity, and quality of life of persons with disabilities, as listed in the Annex of the decree. It covers all sales channels and locations, but excludes products intended exclusively for industrial or professional use, bulk items, unpackaged goods, and those packaged at the point of sale or upon customer request. The proposed adoption and entry into force date is December 2025. The deadline for submitting comment is November 14, 2025.
