,On April 23, 2025, the World Trade Organization (WTO) circulated the notification of Egypt regarding the draft of an Egyptian standard titled "Plastics - Recycled Plastics - Plastics Recycling Traceability and Assessment of Conformity and Recycled Content." This draft standard specifies the procedures needed for the traceability of recycled plastics and provides the basis for the calculation procedure for the recycled content of a product. It is applicable without prejudice to any existing legislation. The procedures described are intended to support the formulation and description of traceability, which can then be used as a basis for calculating recycled content. The draft standard is technically identical with EN 15343:2007. The final date for comments is 60 days from the date of notification (i.e. June 22, 2025).
