The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a public consultation under the CLP Regulation for the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of the substance N-ethyl-N-[2-[1-(2-methylpropoxy)ethoxy]ethyl]-4-(phenylazo)aniline (CAS 34432-92-3). Stakeholders are invited to submit comments on the hazard classes identified in the proposal, including those where classification may not have been concluded but are still open for review. The consultation period runs for 60 days, starting on 27 April 2026 and closing on 26 June 2026. The dossier, submitted by Germany, proposes classifying the substance as hazardous to the aquatic environment, with Acute Category 1 (H400, M=10) and Chronic Category 1 (H410, M=100). Interested parties can provide general comments, scientific data, or evidence supporting or contesting the proposed classifications. All valid submissions received within the deadline will be considered by the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC). Comments submitted after the deadline will not be evaluated or addressed in the final decision-making process.
